July 31 - A female unaffiliated with the University, 53, reported that an unknown suspect entered her vehicle on the 3900 block of Powelton Street and removed change at 11:45 a.m.
July 30 - A female unaffiliated with the University, 38, reported that an unknown suspect broke a window to her vehicle in the Presbyterian Hospital parking lot and removed a laptop at about 1 p.m.
July 30 - A female unaffiliated with the University reported that an unknown suspect entered her hotel room in the Sheraton University City, located at 36th and Chestnut streets, and removed a laptop and other personal items at 8:15 p.m.
July 29 - A male unaffiliated with the University, 24, reported that an unknown suspect broke a window to his vehicle on the 4200 block of Sansom Street and removed a GPS system at about 8:15 a.m.
July 29 - A data cable was reported to have been taken from a closet at the Center for Advanced Medicine, located at 3400 Civic Center Blvd., at about 9:45 a.m.
July 29 - A male student, 24, reported at about 11:30 p.m. that after having visitors to his residence on the 4000 block of Pine Street, several video games and his game console, valued at $250, were missing.

July 28 - A male University employee, 46, reported that his iPod was taken from an unlocked locker in Steller-Chance Labs, located at 422 Curie Blvd., at about 8 a.m.
July 28 - Ronald Brown, 42, unaffiliated with the University, was arrested on the 3700 block of Sansom Street for allegedly taking a purse from someone at about 6:45 p.m.
July 27 - An unknown suspect was reported to have taken merchandise valued at $75 from Urban Outfitters, located at 110 S. 36th St., without paying at 3:15 p.m.
July 26 - A female student, 25, reported that her handbag, which was on the back of her chair at Starbucks, located at 3401 Walnut St., was taken by an unknown suspect at about 12:15 a.m.

Wow, these are some weird ones. Breaking into a car to steal change? Stealing money stored in a refrigerator at a lab? And about a dozen other thefts all in two days?
