Last year's award may have been somewhat more prestigious, but women's lacrosse head coach was honored yet again by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association.

On July 1, Brower was named the IWLCA Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year, honoring her achievements with the Quakers this season.

Last year, after turning an un-ranked Penn squad into national semifinalists, Brower was honored with IWLCA National Coach of the Year honors.

Due to last year's success, however, this year's performance may not have been as surprising to the voters, though the team certainly enjoyed a historic season.

Brower led the Quakers to their first ever No. 1 ranking and a birth in the national championship game, which they lost to Northwestern.

Equally as impressive, however, was the team's regular season victory over the Wildcats. Until that point, Northwestern had won 36-straight games.

Wildcats head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller earned National Coach of the Year honors for leading her squad to its fourth-straight national title.
