As the sunny month of May approaches, Penn students begin to dread the darker side of spring: finals and move-out. This year, as in years past, the official move-out deadline falls at 12 p.m. on the day after the last scheduled final. And this year, as in years past, students will scramble to study as they pack with one hand and type papers with the other. (1 )

And it's being fought on many fronts. There are life-science researchers at Universities and the National Institutes of Health whose research could benefit from access to embryonic stem cells. (3 )
