The Penn Police Department was re-accreditatied by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies this month, according to a PPD press release.

The PPD became the first international accredited campus police agency within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania when it received its initial accreditation award in March 2001. The department was first re-accredited in 2004.

Vice President for Public Safety Maureen Rush said that re-accreditation was "a highly prized recognition of law enforcement professional excellence."
