Elections for the DPAA Board of Directors
Information about running for a position on the DPAA's 12-member Board of Directors, along with a self-nomination form, was sent to all DPAA members in the October newsletter. You can read the newsletter, which contains a copy of the Board self-nomination form. The deadline for receipt of nomination forms is Wednesday, November 5. Ballots will be mailed to all DPAA members in late November (if the number of candidates exceeds the number of openings.) Terms on the Board are for three years, and require travel to Philadelphia for three meetings each year (generally mid-January, late March, and late September). The DPAA Board is not just for journalists; we're especially interested in adding diversity to the current Board with more women and more DP Business alumni. Give something back to the DP! Help us make the DP Alumni Association better in serving both the current DP staff and our vast number of alumni. DPAA Board of Directors winter meeting, Saturday, January 24, 2009, 12:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
The DPAA Board meets three times annually, in the fall, winter, and spring. The meetings are open to any DP alumni who wish to attend. Officers will be elected for the new year, and planning for the DP's future office will continue. For further information, contact current DPAA President Jeremy Kahn '96.

The annual staff celebration marking the transfer of the newspaper's operation to a new Board of editors and managers is open to alumni who wish to attend. Ex-Board members from the past two years may attend for free. (Make sure the DP has your current address, or you may not receive an invitation!)
